Public Narcan Trainings
Community Ambulance Company offers a FREE training on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose by using intra-nasal Naloxone (Narcan). Narcan is a prescription medication that is used to reverse an opioid overdose. Unfortunately, the opiate drug problem has been increasing in recent years, and having this training can potentially save someone’s life. In an effort to help prevent fatal opioid overdoses, Community Ambulance Company trains local residents in the administration of Narcan and teaching a course in hands-only CPR.
Event Occurs: Twice per year
Community Ambulance also runs Shed the Meds — a safe medication disposal program held twice a year.
Training is free and open to all residents — no experience required.
