Community Safety Surge is an annual program developed to reward positive safe behavior in children and provide free safety equipment. Ambulances and Police cars drive around designated towns. If a child is seen on a bike/skateboard/roller-blades and is wearing safety gear or doing a good deed they be will handed a voucher for free ice cream. If the child is observed not wearing safety gear they will be handed a certificate for a free bike helmet with safety educational material.
