Chief
Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Community Ambulance Company website. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the 2026 Chief of Department.
Community Ambulance Company has a long-standing tradition of neighbors helping neighbors. Our members come from many different backgrounds and professions, yet they are united by a shared commitment to supporting one another and serving the communities we protect. That strong connection built on trust, teamwork, and compassion, is the foundation of everything we do.
We are proud of the excellence our organization and members consistently demonstrate. Community Ambulance Company has been honored to receive Suffolk County’s Agency of the Year on multiple occasions, and countless members have been recognized at the regional and state levels for their professionalism, clinical expertise, and dedication to patient care.
Community Ambulance Company has been a leader in emergency medical services procedure and technology for decades. In the 1980s, we were the first EMS agency in Suffolk County to perform endotracheal intubation, an advanced airway procedure that is now standard practice. In 2013, we were the first agency to perform therapeutic hypothermia, improving neurologic outcomes for our most critically ill patients. We were also among the first and most active agencies to administer intranasal Narcan, helping to save countless lives during the opioid crisis. Additionally, in 2025 Community Ambulance Company was the first prehospital agency to successfully perform an emergency cricothyrotomy on a patient suffering from a life-threatening allergic reaction.
Beyond emergency response, Community Ambulance Company remains deeply committed to community engagement. We offer a wide range of community classes and events, providing education, outreach, and opportunities for residents to connect with and learn from our members.
Our volunteers dedicate countless hours to training, responding to emergencies, and supporting one another. They leave their families at all hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to answer a stranger’s call for help. Their dedication and selflessness are what truly define Community Ambulance Company.
Volunteering with Community Ambulance is more than providing emergency medical care it is about belonging to a team that supports one another and shares a deep responsibility to the community. No prior medical experience is required, and all training is provided.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We are proud to serve our community and remain committed to being there when you need us most.
